What maintenance tune-up covers

A maintenance visit is a full inspection and adjustment of everything that moves: spring tension and balance, cable condition, roller and hinge wear, track alignment, fasteners, opener force and travel, and the photo-eye safety system.

It is the cheapest service we offer and the one that prevents the most emergency calls.

Signs you need this service

  • The door has not been serviced in over a year
  • It has become louder than it used to be
  • It hesitates, shudders or moves unevenly
  • The door does not hold position when stopped halfway
  • Visible rust, dry hinges or debris in the tracks

Common causes

  • Lubrication drying out over time
  • Fasteners loosening from vibration
  • Weather seals hardening and cracking
  • Gradual drift in opener force and travel settings

What happens if it's ignored

  • Small adjustments become part failures
  • Spring and opener life shorten measurably
  • Safety reverse features can drift out of specification

What a tune-up prevents

Regular garage door maintenance in Salinas keeps your door quiet, safe and reliable, and catches worn springs and cables before they become an emergency garage door repair call.

  • Garage door is noisy or squeaking
  • Door feels heavy or unbalanced
  • Sensors or auto-reverse not working reliably
  • Worn rollers, cables or springs about to fail

Our process

How the visit works

The same order of work every time, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

  1. 01

    25-point inspection

Every component in the lift system is checked and its condition recorded.

  2. 02

    Balance test

The door is disconnected and tested by hand to confirm the springs still counterbalance it.

  3. 03

    Lubricate and tighten

Correct lubricant on hinges, rollers, bearings and springs; all fasteners re-torqued.

  4. 04

    Sensor and force check

Photo-eyes aligned and auto-reverse tested against an obstruction.

  5. 05

    Written condition report

You get a plain summary of what is fine, what is wearing and what should be watched.
